I am the Teacher-Librarian at Cardinal Carter, an IB World School in Aurora, Ontario. Prior to this role I was the Literacy Consultant for the York Catholic District School Board and one of the lead learners in a District-wide initiative to build 21st century competencies using technology.
I am also a wife, a mom, a student, an author, a blogger, a speaker, and a challenger of the status quo.
I am passionate about connecting students to each other and to the world. I think technology has the potential to transform learning in ways we can only have imagined when I was in school! With awesome power, comes awesome responsibility too! I believe we need to think critically about issues of equity, access, privacy, and safety, while ensuring we don’t limit learners to what is possible.
