Teacher, Niagara Catholic District School Board
Deanna Williams is a secondary teacher with the Niagara Catholic District School Board. She loves teaching students to recognize the potential in themselves to become self-directed, lifelong learners. She has taught computer science, robotics and communication technology courses for nearly 18 years. She is one of the Technology Lead Learners for her school and has just completed a TLLP project which focused on 21st Century Global Competencies and technology enriched, learner-centered teaching practices. This has allowed her to work with teachers in both her school and school board in a mentor role, to build technological capacity. As a Google Certified L2 Educator she is empowered to find ways to enhance teaching, accelerate student learning and share that learning beyond her classroom.
