Reggie Vasquez is currently a Grade 5 Gifted Classroom Teacher and IT Lead Learner with the Halton District School Board. He has lectured at the Edtech Toronto Summit featuring Google Apps for Education, BringIT conference, HDSB Our Voices conference and performed technology workshops for the HDSB Gifted Community. He is also a published author, past professional coach, and speaker who has lectured on teaching children sports using innovative, non-traditional pedagogy, at some of the most prestigious tennis teachers conferences around the world including the Australian Open in Australia, Wimbledon ­in England, and the US Open in the United States. Technology has always been a big part of his teaching/coaching practice both on and off the court. Reggie’s books have been endorsed by professional athletes such as Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, and Rod Laver. His creativity and inquiry­-based pedagogy combined with web based 2.0 tools transform his classroom into a 4th dimensional world of endless possibilities and wonder for his students.
